Summer is a mix of work and play. The bees are out pollenating and growing their hives. We're checking the hives from time to time to see if we should add another box or not. The grass is growing and we're grazing cattle on the pasture. Every few days we need to move cattle to a paddock with fresh grass.

Chickens are also raised over the summer. In six to eight short weeks chickens go from being little chicks to being full sized. The vegetable garden is also an ongoing task as we weed and bring in plants ready to eat.
